Collins Inc, Eastern North Carolina’s largest boat dealer, announces their new and exciting tournament trail for 2013. A six tournament series, consisting of five qualifying events and one championship event, will give area anglers a chance to win cash and prizes on local area lakes such as Harris, Jordan, Falls, Kerr, and Gaston. Contingency awards from Ranger and Stratos will be offered with additional boat brand contingency awards, such as Triton Gold, in the works.
“I am very excited about this tournament series. We have talked about doing this for several years and now we are finally making this a reality” says Jeffrey Parrish, manager of Collins Inc.
The tournament series will consist of two divisions allowing anglers to choose a category that best fits their situation and needs. The first division will be an “Open” division allowing any boat construction above 15 feet in length to compete. The second division will be dedicated as an “Aluminum” division, offering a unique twist to tournament trails in this area. This division will offer an opportunity for anglers with smaller sized and lower powered aluminum constructed boats a chance to compete in a series of local area events. A maximum 150 horsepower rating rule will help level the playing field for these individuals in regards to time and total distance traveled on the water during competition. Contingency awards will also be offered in this division, offering aluminum owners something new to tournament competition in this area.
“Having these two unique divisions will offer different avenues for anglers to compete in a local area tournament series” says Fred Page, product sales at Collins, Inc.
